Cresciuti con band come Sonic Youth, The Jesus Lizard o My Bloody Valentine, i MARS RED SKY, formazione di Bordeaux, non avevano idea di diventare pietre miliari della scena stoner francese quando hanno fondato la band nel 2007. Eppure il trio heavy psichedelico condivide già molte somiglianze e ovvie connessioni con la comunità “heavy and slow”. Liberi da ogni considerazione di genere musicale, i musicisti costruiscono il loro stile personale sulle tracce dei pionieri dell’underground. La voce eterea e melodica di Julien Pras emerge da un ritmo denso e complesso, trasportato dal lirismo della letteratura sci-fi. Quasi cinematografico, il sound dei MARS RED SKY ha un sapore particolare e unico, che si distingue all’interno della scena heavy rock.
Il nuovo disco dei MARS RED SKY presenta la firma originale della band, con voci frastagliate e ritmi martellanti, conditi da droni e vari effetti mid-kraut rock e mid-gothic. Le atmosfere e le ambientazioni sono finemente realizzate e legate dalla voce di Julien Pras, che apporta un delizioso languore pop. L’album, composto da otto tracce, è ricco della straripante ispirazione del gruppo, che si è fatto conoscere in Francia e nel mondo negli ultimi 10 anni. L’uscita di “Dawn Of The Dusk” è prevista per l’8 dicembre 2023 su entrambe le etichette Mrs Red Sound e Vicious Circle Records.
